Chairman of the Board, Gunnar Bjørkavåg, born 1960, is B. Sc. from BI, Norway, MBA from Henley Collecge/Oxford and AMP from Harvard Business College. Bjørkavåg is former CEO of Comma Dataservice, Managing Director of Telenor Plus and Country Manager of Compaq Computers.
Bjørkavåg is now CEO of Norsk Handels & Sjøfartstidende - owner of among others Dagens Næringsliv, a leading financial newspaper seated in Oslo.
Member, Nic Humphries is Chief Executive of HgCapital. He has 20 years experience of the private equity and venture capital industry, and joined HgCapital in 2001. He was previously with Geocapital Partners, a TMT-focuwsed growth equity investor, where, as general partner, he founded its European business and, prior to that, was head of Barclays Private Equity’s IT and telecoms team. He started his career at 3i plc.
Nic’s investment experience has focused on the TMT sector. His lead investments have included Visma, IRIS Software & CS Group plc, Rolfe & Nolan, Geneva Technology and NextGenTel. He co-led investments in Addison Software and SiTel Semiconductor.
Nic was also involved in the flotations of Autologic plc and of Stepstone.com. Nic holds a First Class degree in Electronic Engineering and was an IEEE and National Engineering Council Scholar.
Member, Blair Victor Jacobson joined Citi Private Equity
(CPE) in January
2001 and is the Partner responsible for
managing CPE's EMEA business. He serves on the investment team of Citigroup Capital Partners II, a $3.3 billion private equity fund; Citigroup Mezzanine Partners, a $700 million global subordinated debt fund; and, Citi’s fund of fund businesses.
Mr. Jacobson had prior investment banking and M&A experience in a broad range of industries, most recently at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Jacobson received a B.A. from Williams College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and an M.B.A. with Honours from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also serves on the board of Kwintet AB and holds several other observer seats.
Member, Jan Pieter Dekker joined HgCapital in 2008

from GE, where he was responsible for developing and
implementing strategic growth projects across a range of businesses. Before GE, Jean-Pierre worked at Morgan Stanley, where he was part of the investment banking division focused on financial institution clients. He started his career at ABN AMRO in the corporate finance department. As a member of Hg’s portfolio management team, Jean-Pierre is a director of Epyx Ltd,
Visma AS and Stepstone Solutions Ltd.
Jean-Pierre holds a degree in finance from the
University of
St. Gallen in
Switzerland and an MBA from INSEAD. He is a native Dutch speaker and is fluent in English, German and French.
