Visma achieved an operating profit of NOK 19.2 million in 1998



The Visma Group achieved an operating profit of NOK 19.2 million in 1998, with a profit of NOK 22.7 million after financial items. This is a strong improvement from 1997, when Visma had an operating loss of NOK 91.2 million.

Sales for 1998 amounted to NOK 289 million, compared with NOK 270 million in 1997. Shareholders' equity made up 67% of total capital at the end of 1998. Net cash reserves totalled NOK 67 million.

The CEO of Visma ASA, �ystein Moan, says: In 1998, Visma transformed a very large loss from the previous year into satisfactory earnings. The results reflect substantial expenses for restructuring and rationalization, including a loss of NOK 13.5 million for the year in Visma AB. The company now emerges as a more focused and profitable organization, with a net profit ratio of about 12% for the second half of 1998. In 1999, Visma will concentrate on faster growth and new product launches. We are also open to growth through acquisitions.
