Additional questions

Add your customized questions, screen your candidates and find your optimal one.

When the EasyCruit environment was created, a default configuration of questions were added. The questions makes it possible to use standard types of questions in application forms you connect to vacancies created. Some of the standard questions to be used are first name, surname, e-mail, attach CV, education and more.

Additional questions allows you to create customized questions and answers, making it easier to find the correct candidate. You are able to create a question where the candidate should upload/ attach a file to your question, type a text as an answer, or select an answer from a dropdown menu.

Screening questions can be inserted making it possible for you to decide what the correct/ incorrect answer is. If a candidate answers incorrectly, the candidate will be screened, and those candidates answering correctly will be focused on instead. You are also able to connect a rejection e-mail to automatically be sent with a delay to candidates that have answered incorrectly.

To access the page “Additional questions”, click “Settings” and then click on the icon “Additional questions”. To add a new question, click on the button “Add question”.

On the page "Additional questions" focus on the two tabs called “Self Classification – Candidate application” and “Self Classification – Candidate profile”. Below you will see the difference between the tabs.

The tab “Self Classification – Candidate application” makes it possible to create additional questions to be used in the application forms attached to the vacancies created.

Example 2

The tab “Self Classification – Candidate profile” makes it possible to create a question that will be visible in the “Career-center”. The career-center is a self-service portal where the candidate has the option to add his/her CV, edit CV-details, update username/password and activate the "Jobagent" (matchmail function).

The questions added to the tab “Self Classification – Candidate profile” can also be used in the application forms attached to the vacancies created.

When adding questions to the tab “Self Classification – Candidate profile” it is recommended to create questions that can be answered by all potential candidates since the question will be visible by default for candidates applying spontaneously. For example, add questions like “Where in the country do you wish to work?”, “When can you start?” and “How did you find our career-page?”.

When adding questions to the tab “Self Classification – Candidate application” and using a screening function, it is recommended to be perfectly clear in both question and answer options. Since EasyCruit does the screening automatically it is important that the candidate understands what you are asking and can select the correct answer. For example, it is not recommended to ask a question like “Are you 18 years old?” and then insert answers like “Yes” and “No”. The candidate can be confused and think “I will be 18 years later this year but right now I am 17 so I answer “No”” and the candidate will be screened.

In this example it would be better to type the question like “Are you 18 years old on the 1/6 2017?”

When you have added an additional question you will see the following screen:

The four columns that are visible on screen are important to understand, here is an explanation:
- Mark/Tick:
Used to indicate if the question is displayed by default in an application.
- Mandatory Field:
Makes inclusion of the question in an application form mandatory.
- Mandatory Value:
Makes answering the field mandatory if it is included in an application question.
- Searchable:
Enables the question to be searchable. This means that when using the Candidate Search page, running an advanced search makes the questions available as search criteria.

Make sure to click on all “Save” buttons to save all your data.
