Comments on the figures:
Good progress for Visma in the first quarter of 2000.
Visma increased its EBITDA by 35% to NOK 11.3 million, compared with NOK 8.4 million in the corresponding period last year. The operating profit amounted to NOK 10.1 million (10.2 million). Sales totalled NOK 83.5 million, excluding Visma Logistics and Intraview. These companies are in the process of merging with Info-Expert and Morell, and will report their results together as the new company Exense. Sales in the first quarter of 1999 were NOK 73.7 million including Logistics, and NOK 73.6 million excluding it.
Vismas equity increased from approximately 50% in the first quarter of 1999 to about 60% in 2000.
Visma Business showed particularly strong progress, with a 45% increase from the first quarter of 1999. With a profit of NOK 5.8 million on sales of NOK 37.2 million, Visma Business has improved its performance for five successive quarters.
Vismas operating margin of 12% and its 35% growth in EBITDA are regarded as satisfactory in an IT market that has generally been rather lacklustre in the first quarter.
