14.08.2000 Strategic Alliance with E-Commerce Partner – Marline Technologies Ltd.Visma Marine ASA, a subsidiary of Visma ASA, has signed a letter of intent with Ireland/Florida based MARLINE TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED. Marline is focused on providing the maritime industry with solutions for excess shipping hardware worldwide. Marline specializes in Excess Component Supply Management (ECSM) using internet based proprietary software. The market for ECSM in shipping is estimated at 9,6 B US$ per year and Marline’s ambition is to capture a 20% share of this market globally and to go public. Visma Marine will as part of the execution of a full agreement receive up to 25% of the shares in Marline, given certain success criteria. 12,5 % will be received when a link is made available to the AMOS customer base. This represents a natural extension of the AMOS product range, which is installed onboard some 6-7000 vessels globally. Visma will upon execution of the full agreement have a representative on Marline’s board.
