18.10.2000 Business Service Provider functions from VismaAfter the sale of Visma Marine, Visma will build a new division, Visma Business Services Division. This new division will focus on Business Service Provider (BSP) functions. This will include a number of ERP-related services such as outsourcing of financial and administrative functions, ASP, temporary staff contracting and recruiting agencies, consulting, and Web-based information services. Visma will not compete with its resellers, and will not sell software products directly to end-customers or carry out IT system integration. The synergy between the new division and Visma� existing operations, as well as with Visma�s resellers, will be of great value. Vigorous growth in the BSP market is expected, as many enterprises want to outsource administrative functions that are not regarded as core business. Through its software activities and substantial customer base, Visma is well prepared to become a driving force in a rapidly growing industry in which software is supplied as Web services. In this new BSP-oriented division, Visma can create faster growth than in traditional ERP. Visma has entered into a agreement to acquire Next Financial Systems AS and Rapport Consult AS. These companies will form part of the new division, as well as �konomikunnskap, which was acquired from Agresso in 1999.
