New acquisition strengthens Visma's position within collecting

Visma acquires Invoicia.

Visma acquires Invoicia, a leading provider of outsourcing services for billing, ledger, invoice management and debt collection. The acquisition provides Visma's existing operations in claim management and debt collection larger capacity and a stronger market position.

- This acquisition strengthens our commitment and position. Invoicia’s service portfolio fits well with our existing solutions for billing, dunning and debt collection. Invoicia is particularly good at billing and invoice follow-up. These are areas where we see great potential; both as a service to companies in our customer base, and as an important area of commitment towards new customers, "says Division Director in Visma, Eivind Gundersen.

For companies with large invoice volumes

Invoicia have scalable systems that are optimized for efficient management of billing, receivables and real-time ledger in large volumes. In addition, the company offers services for factoring, sales financing and credit management as an integrated part of the invoice administration.

- We are very positive to the acquisition as it will represent a significant contribution to strengthening Invoicia’s further development and commitment within the billing and invoice management in the Nordic markets. Additionally, we get valuable market access to Visma's existing customer portfolio, "says CEO of Invoicia, Bjarne Bratland.

Invoicia has a total of 25 employees at its headquarters in Oslo and branches in Mo i Rana and Copenhagen. The company had a turnover of MNOK 33.3 in 2009. Visma acquires 100 percent of the shares, and the transaction requires approval from the Norwegian Competition Authority.

Required consolidation

- This market consists of many players, and Visma believe there is a need for consolidation in the industry. Many companies are struggling to achieve profitability, and the new collection regulations make it probably even more difficult for many. Visma's desire is both to take part in this consolidation, and at the same time enhance its market position, concludes Eivind Gundersen.
