Visma Group, leading provider of business-critical software to private and public enterprises in the Nordic, Baltic and Benelux regions, is pleased to announce that it has acquired the majority of the shares in ProActive, a provider of full range SaaS-based, in-house developed, procurement-to-pay software solutions, based in Haarlem.
This expands Visma’s activities in a highly strategic region and strengthens its Northern European leadership in cloud-based procurement solutions in the private and public markets. The transaction represents the third acquisition by Visma in the Netherlands this year alone, following the acquisition of Raet, a leading provider of cloud‑based payroll and Human Capital Management (‘HCM’) software and services, and PinkWeb, supplier of an online customer interaction platform for accounting firms and their clients.
The combination with ProActive will expand Visma Group’s total addressable market and mutually provide new and existing customers of Visma and ProActive with access to a leading suite of cloud software applications. The combined businesses will have over €200m revenues, 1,600 employees and increase the customer base to above 50,000 in the Benelux region alone. Visma continues to look at opportunities to further increase its presence and product offering in the region.
“The Netherlands is a highly attractive market for Visma, and the acquisition of ProActive is part of a series of strategic initiatives to strengthen our presence in the region. I am impressed by how ProActive’s offering allows customers to manage the entire complexity of expenditure flow in a simplified way. ProActive proves that innovation, agility, great technology and customer centricity are the keys to success in the market. The acquisition leads to mutual added value and growth opportunities that will allow new and existing customers to manage and improve purchase-to-pay processes now and in the future’’, Nils Vold, Division Director of Visma, said.
‘’ProActive joining Visma increases our ability to continue providing new and existing customers with long-term sustainable solutions to offer new opportunities for both their customers and employees. The combination with Visma’s current offering will also substantially expand the total addressable market and give extended value to our customers and employees”, Heiko Bonenkamp, Chief Commercial Officer of ProActive, said.
ProActive will remain a separate entity within the Visma group as a part of the Enterprise Division.
No details around the intended transaction will be disclosed. ProActive was advised by KPMG.
