Visma strengthens its offering to accountants in France with the acquisition of Kanta

Expanding Visma’s ecosystem in France with a unique compliance solution for accounting offices.

Visma announces the acquisition of Kanta, provider of compliance software specifically designed for French accounting offices. This transaction supports Visma’s strategy to build an ecosystem of complementary accounting solutions adapted to the evolving needs of the profession.

Created in 2020 to meet new regulatory obligations, Kanta automates the anti-money laundering (AML) processes accountants are subject to. The solution simplifies complex and time-consuming tasks such as collecting customer information (registration documents, beneficial ownership registers, etc.), risk assessment (location, activity, mission, customer structure) and the generation of AML reports.

By automating up to 80% of the AML process, Kanta reduces the time it takes to process regulatory obligations by an average of 150 hours per year across a client portfolio. Highly regarded for the preparation of AML and quality controls carried out by the Order of Accountants, the tool is already used by more than 2,000 accountants in France.

A unique solution

The Kanta solution complements and enriches Visma’s offering in France while strengthening its position as a reference partner for accounting firms.

Without an equivalent on the market, Kanta comes at an opportune time for all accounting firms subject not only to stricter regulatory requirements, but also to an increased need for digitization and automation of tasks related to ethical compliance.

This acquisition also coincides with the development of the Kanta offering, which, after transforming the AML into a business standard, is accelerating on the broader issue of ethics, with its Prospect & Engagement Letter module, to be launched later in June.

With a unique solution adapted to the evolving needs of the profession, Kanta is fully integrated into the Visma ecosystem in France.
