It’s time to say goodbye to this year’s Summer interns in Visma. Let’s take a look at what they have learned and how they experienced these weeks.
Greetings from Dublin! We are two students from NTNU specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), empirical finance and optimization.
I still remember my first day in Visma as it was yesterday: The early morning flight from Copenhagen to Oslo, the journey from the airport directly to Skøyen, and the elevator ride to the 9th floor at Visma’s headquarters. When I entered the meeting room, I was met by the curious faces of my future Management Trainee colleagues.
When I started as a Management Trainee eight months ago, I had ample experience with working in a large organization. During our one year as Management Trainees we get to work as project managers on five different projects. As each project progresses, we learn something new about ourselves – we gain new confidence in our skills, and we learn what skill-sets we would like to explore further.

As I’m writing this blog post the whole of the Nordics are completely obsessed by the Norwegian tv series “Skam” (Eng. “shame”). People aged 14 to 30 follow the lives of fictional Norwegian teenagers with all their problems with school, social life and simply growing up. The recognition factor is almost too hard to handle! This series has really stirred things up here in the North: suddenly it’s cool to speak Norwegian.
The era of automation is here and artificial intelligence (AI) can be found all around us. In Visma we have many ongoing projects related to this, also in Visma’s internal IT-department qith a new automatic ticket dispatch service. Read more
Even if you are a sunglasses salesman, some types of clouds can be good for your business. When talking about cloud technology and cloud services, the word ‘cloud’ is essentially just a metaphor for the Internet.
This year, for the first time in history, Visma has gathered 12 ambitious Nordic students from Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway to take part in this year’s Management Trainee program. Until November, each one of the 12 trainees will be working on their first project in the Visma HQ in Oslo spread over different departments in the organization.
