Fossil Fueled by knowledge sharing
We’re composed of 170 companies building each other up, so our success depends on the smooth exchange of expertise and competence. That’s why we’ve set up a governance model based on knowledge sharing – helping us create internal accountability, build our capacity in sustainability, and get the results we’re after.
Our companies operate locally and therefore have particular knowledge, challenges, and best practices for sustainability. We have to make it easy for everyone to improve – whether sharing information across companies or advising from the Group level.
Our governance for sustainability ensures a two-way flow of information. Companies have regular meetings and sparring sessions with regional leaders called Sustainability Leads. These Leads sit on the Sustainability Board, where they bring up issues for discussion with each other and the Group sustainability function.
Board meetings provide us with an arena to discuss ideas, make decisions, plan action, and package information and advice that goes back to our companies. The loop is then complete, and can be repeated again and again.
