Shared value partnership
Proud partners of UNICEF supporting youth development
Visma supports youth entrepreneurship through the UPSHIFT programme, while providing UNICEF with essential business software.
Investment in youth
Of the nearly 2 billion young people in the world today, 90% live in low- and middle-income countries. Without a grounded education or essential skills, many are at risk of missing out on their talents and dreams.
Through 2026, Visma will provide sustained financial support to UNICEF, primarily to the UPSHIFT programme. UPSHIFT is a social innovator accelerator that gives young people lifelong opportunities to make meaningful change in their communities. By learning vital skills such as problem-solving, creativity, collaboration and leadership, they become empowered to take charge of their present and future as entrepreneurs, employees, and global citizens.
A portion of our financial support will also go to UNICEF’s general relief efforts for children in vulnerable situations around the world.
Proud supporters of UNICEF since 2017
Visma has long been an active supporter of UNICEF’s work to help vulnerable children around the world. Since 2017, we have funded the following efforts:
- 2017–2019: Various education projects in Romania
- 2020–2021: Delivery of Covid vaccines in developing countries
- 2022: Programmes for children affected by the war in Ukraine
- 2023: Programmes for children affected by the war in the Middle East
- 2024–2026: UPSHIFT, a programme nurturing young entrepreneurs
In 2024, in addition to supporting UPSHIFT, we will provide financial support to UNICEF’s Core Resources for Results (RR), which gives flexible and restriction-free funding that can be used wherever and whenever the need is greatest.
Core operations, powered by Visma
It is vital that NGOs minimise administrative costs through secure, reliable software that enables effective operations and compliance. During 2024, UNICEF Norway will begin using several of Visma’s essential software solutions, free of charge.
By using these solutions, UNICEF’s ultimate goal is to optimise time and resources, allowing full focus on their primary mission: helping children in need.
