Visma is proud to announce the opening of their new technology centre in Košice, Slovakia. The new centre is part of Visma’s strategic investment in innovation and will house a large team of developers, focusing on creating innovative cloud software using new technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotics.

The substantial investment will benefit customers across Visma’s European markets, strengthening its position as Europe’s leading software provider.

“We are pleased to open our new technology centre in the bustling technology environment of Košice. Our customer base is growing rapidly, and we see an increasing demand for advanced technology in our software,” said Visma CEO Øystein Moan.

Hiring top talent a priority
Investments in product development and innovation are key success factors for Visma. “Our goal is to be at the forefront of innovation and software development. To achieve this, we need the best and brightest talent on board. The new technology centre will house a large team of skilled developers utilising the latest technologies such as machine learning and robotic process optimisation,” Moan continued.

Technology hub in Košice

The plan for the new space is to hire 60 employees by 2020 and to reach 200 employees by 2024. Visma will collaborate closely with local tech universities and communities to attract both senior developers and young talents.

The developers will be responsible for several innovation projects across the Visma Group and will get the opportunity to engage in international and local competence groups, undergo training and certifications in new technologies and participate at conferences worldwide.
