About the campaign
The Next Top Mechanic will be a global search for the next mechanic talent who can take Team Jumbo-Visma to the next level. The program will be kicked off with an audition to generate awareness for the job of mechanic and to attract new talent to the world of cycling.
After a first screening round based on experience and resumé, four applicants will be invited to the Team Jumbo-Visma HQ in the Netherlands for the definitive selection, featuring a combination of spectacular challenges. Cycling fans will have the opportunity to follow this unique talent show online via three video episodes.
The audition will end with the winner signing a one-year contract with Team Jumbo-Visma. This person will get to put their proven skills to work, preparing bicycles and supporting the likes of Primož Roglič, Wout van Aert, Marianne Vos, Jonas Vingegaard, Tom Dumoulin, Sepp Kuss, Rohan Dennis, and many more riders.
Visma will contribute to the campaign in a number of ways, in particular by automating the application process and evaluation of candidates, and by providing the digital signature solutions the team will use to sign the four candidates and the final winner.
The metaphor of the mechanic working behind the scenes to streamline performance is a role Visma strongly identifies with in its role as a trusted provider of cloud software solutions. Simplifying core activities is what drives Visma’s employees on a daily basis. It’s therefore a natural fit that we work together with Team Jumbo-Visma to find The Next Top Mechanic and help generate awareness and appreciation for the job that mechanics are doing every day.
