Accelerate together with Vaidas Brundza and Gonzalo Cheliz

Team Visma | Lease a Bike

For us, ‘accelerate together’ means more than just collaboration. It’s playing to our strengths to fuel innovation and lasting impact, merging diverse expertise to achieve extraordinary results. This synergy not only reflects our partnership with Team Visma | Lease a Bike, but also resonates across all realms of work at Visma.

As part of our 'accelerate together' series, we celebrate Vaidas Brundza from Visma Flyt and a heartfelt tribute from Gonzalo Cheliz of Holded, who illustrate how combined efforts can lead to powerful achievements and meaningful connections. Their stories have earned them the chance to feature their names on the official Tour de France jerseys this year!

Vaidas Brundza, Lithuania

Leading teams across multiple countries, Vaidas from Visma Flyt, explains, "It's about lifting each other – supporting innovation and discovering smarter ways to work together." His work in improving school life reflects the shared purpose that accelerates Visma’s impact, reaching beyond individual capabilities.

His journey, spanning various cultures, highlights the necessity and strength of diverse perspectives at Visma. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all, and exactly this mindset is one of our biggest strengths. At Visma, we mean it when we say: come as you are.

Gonzalo Cheliz, Spain

Though Gonzalo’s own name won’t grace the Tour de France jersey this year, his entry to the contest comes with deeply personal significance. Reflecting on the values of our partnership and ‘accelerate together’, he shares a touching story of friendship and support.

Gonzalo tells us about his best friend, Albert Gil Codorniu, a lifelong cyclist who bravely battled terminal cancer. Though Albert couldn't fulfil his dream of visiting a Tour de France stage, Gonzalo wanted to honour him by proposing Albert’s name for the jersey instead of his own – a tribute to Albert's memory and passion for cycling.

Gonzalo recalls the unwavering support he received from Holded, which allowed him to be by Albert's side during treatments. “This opportunity feels like a way to honour his memory,” Gonzalo shared.

Gonzalo shows us how personal stories of friendship, support, and shared dreams are an equally important part of work life – where human connections are cherished as much as professional achievements.

Vaidas and Gonzalo’s stories remind us of the deeper impact and wide-reaching spirit of 'accelerate together' at Visma – a force that drives education, innovation, and friendship.

Tune in next week for our final installment of this series to find out about our final two winners and their stories.
