Alex is a familiar face for many of our colleagues. As a great advocate not only for technology but also for communicating his knowledge in understandable and engaging ways, his presence makes a solid mark on social platforms both inside and outside of Visma.
He’s been around the Visma block since he first joined us back in 2012. After a few years as a Technical Quality Assurer working with automated testing and delivery of one of our payroll products, Alex took on greater responsibility for our public cloud journey. In 2021, he was appointed as Director of Cloud and Engineering. Since then, he and the Cloud and Engineering department have assisted Visma companies with best practices for developing, delivering and operating cloud software.
As Director of Cloud and Engineering, he was one of the architects behind Visma’s methodology for technical due diligence and led over 120 processes related to our recent acquisitions. Now, he’s ready for new challenges as CTO.
The public cloud journey continues
Alex credits diversity, both in terms of technology and people, for his continuing journey with Visma. He’s had the opportunity to work with a variety of technology over the years: from top modern serverless and event-driven systems to software systems that were developed way back in time. These experiences have shaped his plans for the future as our CTO.
