Visma boosts offerings in electronic document and records management by acquiring FirstAgenda

With the acquisition of rapidly growing Danish software company, FirstAgenda, Visma strengthens its range of services in electronic document and records management (EDRMS), as well as in municipal markets.
FirstAgenda offers a SaaS cloud-based platform for preparation, content management, and conduct of meetings. Since its founding in 2015, the company has experienced continuous growth and provides software to all five regions in Denmark, 93 of the country's municipalities, and a large number of ports, interest organisations, and trade unions. FirstAgenda will be welcomed into the Visma family as an independent company with current staff and management.
“With the acquisition of FirstAgenda, we are adding some complementary competencies to our portfolio of products which creates new opportunities in Denmark as well as in our other markets in the Nordic and Benelux countries," says Lars Berthelsen, Managing Director of Visma Custom Solutions in Denmark.
Lars continues: “FirstAgenda delivers to 95% of the country's municipalities. This is an exciting segment where we want to play a bigger role going forward. Therefore, we will continue to look at new acquisition opportunities in this area. Our ambition in the Custom Solutions division is to continue to add attractive companies that make a positive contribution in the market."
Kasper Lyhr, CEO of FirstAgenda, also sees great opportunities with the acquisition: "We have a very good foothold in the public market in Denmark among municipalities and regions, but we see significant growth potential in the governmental market, where Visma is one of the leading players. Visma will help us to continue our foreign expansion, such as in Norway, where we are already growing at a rapid pace.
“We also see huge potential in the Netherlands, where Visma is among the country's largest IT companies and covers large parts of the public EDRMS market. Incidentally, there are no direct competitors to our platform, so the opportunities are hard to overlook."
